We won – twice!!!

The short version is that we won – twice!!

The longer version is that we were very happy to attend the QSi ProDriver Awards last Thursday – the awards are doubling in size each year and as such, so does the volume of entrants for each category. This means that we were more than satisfied with being shortlisted in both of the categories we entered into – Mid Sized Chauffeur Business of the Year 2015 and for the Marketing Award. The awards are just like lots of other ceremonies, except that this is truly, the one ceremony for the type of work we do, so it’s great to pitt ourselves against our peers and see where we place. As the awards grow each year, so do our ambitions to strike Gold. This year, we didn’t know what to expect – because of the volumes of shortlisted businesses and also, because we know many of them and that they have high standards just as we do.

I was a touch worried that we’d peaked too early when Liz – who supports our marketing and pr activities – won a magnum of Bollinger before the awards even began: if that was all we came home with, I would have been disappointed!  Happily this wasn’t the case and we received Bronze in both the Mid Sized Chauffeur Business of the Year 2015 category and for the Marketing Award. On one hand, it’s Bronze, and we were aiming for Gold. But on the other, it’s Bronze and a higher placing for us relative to the shortlisted businesses and was against much more competition. We have a very positive outlook as a business, so you’ll be happy to know that our mindset is much more focused on the latter than the former!

The other great thing about the awards is that we get to meet lots of different people and this year was no different – I was asked by two people on the night, if I could effectively mentor them and share the secrets of how we’ve got to where we are today. I told them the same as I tell anyone who asks us about this – we start from a place of service. We’re proud to be in a service business – from our tech, to the way we answer the phones and how we work to support travellers when their plane arrives six hours late – it’s all about service and getting them from A to B safely, on time and in style. Everything we do flows from this.

So really, this award is for you – our community – we exist to serve you and we are grateful that you give us the opportunity to do that so frequently. Thank you for your support, encouragement and for sharing our standards with others – there’s nothing better than hearing that we were recommended by an existing customer!

    Congratulations on a well deserved win. When we have needed your services you have been there, and it has always been great. It is great to be taken to LHR without us having to worry about traffic and parking, especially when it is cold wet and miserable, but best of all is the friendly face when we get back tired from a long flight, and knowing we can have a kip in the back while you get us home. We are off again in January, and wil be booking your services as soon as we get flights sorted.
